Windows hopes

In 2016 about 50 widows of fallen heroes at the Owena barracks Akure, Ondo State, were empowered through various relief  materials and skill acquisition programs, such as, baking, make up artistry, hand crafted shoes and bags. After the program some of the best performed women were awarded cash prizes to support their newly acquired skills

Empowering Women, Honoring Heroes"

Objective

To commemorate the Armed Forces Remembrance Day by empowering women of fallen heroes and veterans, promoting financial independence, and fostering a sense of community.

 

Program Activities

  1. Entrepreneurship Workshop: Equip participants with new business ideas, business management and financial literacy skills.
  2. Health and Wellness: Offer health screenings, counseling, and wellness sessions.
  3. Food bank: Distribution of food items to widows of fallen heroes. 

 Target Beneficiaries: Women of fallen heroes, veterans, and  wives of military personnel.
